It's going to be a rough time because instead of fitting full proto with no compromises you have to downgrade one module, having a net effect of 2% on your overall fitting?
Oh, the humanity.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

Oh, the humanity. No, Arkena. It's going to mean I can't use AV grenades and probably downgrade my sidearm. I'll make a fitting in a minute and update you. Calm your *******.
"Can't use AV grenades" and needing to downgrade your sidearm?
Downgrade the sidearm to ADV and you can fit proto AV grenades easily. If you don't want to do that you can just use ADV ones instead of the proto ones.
It doesn't mean that you "Can't use AV grenades". You've already fitted a proto grenade...

Oh, the humanity. No it means you will have to likely forego a sidearm to fit proto. Trying to hit a strafer at 40m with a slow charging weapon only succeeds when his IQ is lower than that of a mentally handicapped amarran (all of them).
Forgo a sidearm entirely? Hardly. A basic sidearm takes up a miniscule amount of resources.
EDIT: What is the point of having PG/CPU if you can fit anything you want without caring about it?
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

Let me show you an example of what you're claiming: [Logistics] Boundless CR*As you can see, every single module is at the Prototype/Complex tier, and the Character is maxed (272m SP). I even took the liberty of placing a Specialist CR (the easiest-to-fit rifle in DUST), and Reactive Plates (lower CPU/PG than the base variants, but decent buffer and HP/s in Charlie). The suit is still 40 CPU and 13 PG over the limit. I don't remember speaking for Logistics users in this thread, but I've been a Logi for over a year now. Look. I'm not talking about making my Logi a perfect, module stacking killing machine. http://www.protofits.com/fittings/shared/337/6463This is my scanner fit. I was talking about I have every slot except one proto without even having any fitting optimization skills. For me that fitting has 503/507 CPU and 114/115 PG. So as you can see, my Gal Logi has NO trouble fitting everything proto, because I'm not focused on MODULES, I'm focused on EQUIPMENT and using that equipment as efficiently as possible. It quite honestly wouldn't be worth it to me to skill into Assault Rifle Fitting Optimizaiton, because what's 15% of the 6 PG the Federation Specialist gets? Hardly even 1 PG for all that SP? Maybe the option not to run Gallente anymore and use the ISK Duvolle instead? No thanks.
That hardly counts as a full proto, uncompromised fit, which is what sentinels could do.
1. You are using a specialist rifle. That represents a fitting compromise. 2. You have left a slot empty. Not just sub-complex, downgraded a module, or anything like that. Empty. 3. You are using a PG upgrade.
Uncompromised full proto fitting that is not.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.
